Buttonhole Elastic 3/8 Inch
Baby Soft Buttonhole Elastic Quantity = number of yards.
57% Polyester 43% Rubber. Custom milled for DSS and imported.
Width 3/8" wide.
Small-scale buttonhole elastic, perfect for adjustable leg diapers. Just like our Baby Soft elastic, this knitted elastic does not narrow when stretched. It is a fine webbing that stretches out when you sew it, then gathers in, without the stiffness of typical polybraid elastic. It has a similar effect as Lastin but is easier to apply.
Use buttonhole elastic for adjustable leg openings and waists of cloth diapers. Also adjusts waistbands on clothing, and any other application where a variable amount of stretch is needed. Please keep in mind that for baby items, the adjustment button should be sewed on securely and checked regularly so that it does not come loose and present a hazard to baby.
Baby soft elastic contains natural rubber latex, if you need latex-free elastic choose Lastin instead.
Sew the buttonhole elastic into an encased leg seam, tack down at one end and leave the other end open. Sew in a small hidden button (3/8" to 1/2" button). This way you can size the diaper leg opening to be just right for any baby.
Elastic is cut to customer length and may not be returned, except in case of store error.

This elastic is incredible for making one-size pocket diapers!! DSS is the only place I have been able to find the 3/8 inch size that I need for diaper making purposes!!
Love this elastic.

On a previous order, I added the free buttonhole elastic to try it out. I used it to make adjustable leg elastic on my chubby baby's diapers and it is fantastic-so much so I bought several yards to make all his new diapers with it!
Great button hole elastic

I bought several yards of this elastic for cloth diapering, I have not used/washed them several times but the elastic seems to hold up well. I would recommend this elastic!
Best Elastic yet

I searched high and low for the right button hole elastic and it brought me to you every time, I tried to just use regular elastic and sew it in and it seemed easier, but it just didn't hold up. The 50 yards has lasted me through two full years of custom diapering my son and I am preparing myself to order more for the training pants. I didn't have one portion I was unsatisfied with.
Doesn't hold up

I made some diaper bag diapers for my boys. They are not part of of normal rotation stash but stay just in the diaper bag. This elastic was shot just a few months later and at most, 10 washes. The holes ripped out and there is no stretch left.
>>>DSS Note: We are wondering if these diaper bag diapers were left in a hot car or other places that are not climate controlled. Buttonhole elastic does contain natural rubber latex, which can be affected by extreme heat/cold conditions.

Loove the buttonhole elastic, super strong and works great for adjusting at the legs on cloth diapers. It saves so much time by eliminating snaps for one size diapers!
LOVE this for cloth pocket diapers!

This is great, I love the softness it does not leave red marks when used in cloth diapers! I have some I made a year ago and they are still working well!!

Also works great as a minor waist adjustment for adult/kids slacks. Sew a button on each side of the inside of the waistline, then tack down several inches the elastic so you can use the button holes in the strip to tighten/loosen the waist of the garment as needed.

This elastic is amazing. We were cutting the button holes as the baby grew, but now they are cut for us!
