Colorful knit prints to take your sewing to the next level. Rich colors, soft drape and body, with spandex for stretch. Can be sewn loose and comfy, or snug for compression. Our jersey knit is a medium weight - not too heavy, not too flimsy. Prewash before sewing. Please note that our cotton knit prints are thick and dense, and the fabric could shrink upto 20% in length and 5% in width. We use a different base fabric than what you may be used to with our custom knits. Please account for this shrinkage when determining how much to purchase. Colors coordinate with our cotton spandex knit solids.
Please note: Dirt marks on the back side of the fabric will not be considered a flaw.
Fabric Preparation and Prewash Tips
We recommend prewashing your cotton spandex fabrics to prepare them for sewing. For any fabrics that include dark, saturated, or very bright colors, we recommend a cold wash separately or with like colors only. Use a commercial color catcher to help capture any loose dye in the wash. Examine wet washed fabric before drying. If you experience transfer of color onto a white/light area of your fabric, we suggest rewashing the fabric again on cold before you dry the fabric. Drying the fabric after color has transferred can make dye transfer difficult to remove. Another tip for fixing color transfer is to soak the fabric in an oxy cleaner solution to remove the excess dye from lighter areas and then wash in cold water.
Machine wash and dry, or hang to dry.
Prewash to remove shrinkage. Use a universal or ball point needle. Best sewn with a serger or a walking foot.
Fabric may be returned within 30 days of receipt. Returned fabric must be uncut, unwashed, clean and free of odors. Returns must be authorized and are subject to a 25% restocking fee unless there is a problem or flaw we overlooked. See the Returns policy page for more details.
