White Fold Over Elastic Matte FOE 3/4 Inch
Fold Over Elastic, Matte, White Quantity = number of yards.
89% nylon 11% spandex. Imported.
Width 3/4" wide.
Soft, thin, and stretchy. Matte (not shiny) on both sides.
Ideal for diaper cover leg gussets, where you need a gentle stretch that will never leave red marks. Other uses include: finish on underwear and panties, girls headbands, and garment trim, such as necklines and sleeves.
Thinner than 3/4" Semi-Plush FOE and thinner than 1 inch plush FOE.
Latex-free. CPSIA certified lead free.
It shrinks about 3%, but you do not need to pre-wash. Use a ball point or knits needle. Sew with a zigzag or 3-step zigzag stitch. Stretch the elastic as you sew to the amount that you want the edge gathered. Ease the elastic around curves that you want to lie flat.
Machine wash and dry.

If you want a Fold Over Elastic to bind several layers, this is not the one you should use. If you want it for binding gussets, this is the Perfect One for you! It eliminates bulk and allows my gussets to be extremely trim. Love this stuff!
Inner leg gussets perfected!

I have been practicing inner leg gussets on my diaper covers for a long time, and I was never satisfied with the results until I tried this matte FOE. My customers really want those inner gussets on their PUL covers and I can finally do a good enough job to feel confident in selling them. I wish I could upload a picture to my review to show how nice the gussets turn out thanks to this product. I use the 1" plush FOE to bind the covers and the matte 3/4" for the gussets. I tried the semi-plush 3/4" FOE for gussets and thought even that was too thick. The matte is perfectly thin for this purpose. Thank you for offering it!
Not thrilled with this

I bought this thinner FOE to use as the edging on my Babyville Ultimate Pocket diapers I was trying (the kind with the leg pocket openings). It was difficult to work with as it was so thin that I couldn't get my fabric edge to stay fully encased. And the fold itself looks incredibly thin and fragile that I worry about washing it. It doesn't seem durable at all.
DSS Note: This elastic is not meant to bind a cover or pocket diaper. It is a gusset elastic to be gentle on tender thighs. It is used by a commercial line of cloth diapers for this purpose and holds up beautifully.

DO easy to sew! I used this to make my gussets and it was very easy to sew in place, creating perfect gathering that will be touching baby's skin, so I doubly appreciate how soft it is!

When I first received this elastic I noticed it was much softer and thinner than elastic I had used before. This concerned me however after using in on my grandson's diaper covers I was pleased with the results. It sews on easily, I use a narrow zig-zag stitch on the wrong side and then fold it over to the right side and use a slightly wider 3-stitch zig-zag. It stretches well and is not at all bulky. I will order it again!
Great for more than gussets

I use this for neck trim on tee shirts. It is soft, light weight, and stretchy. I simply add an inch or so to the neck line before cutting, measure the 3/4 matte the same length the neck trim would be, and stitch it on. I am very pleased!
Too Soft to Handle

This elastic is so soft in face it has no body. The center line has no definition. When we sewed it to the edge of some diapers it had a huge tendency to roll to one side or the other. Don't even think about putting some tension on the elastic as you go over a curve. The material will move all over the place and make it look like you've never sewn before.
Well give it two stars because we don't have a bag of garbage we have a bag of soft garbage.
DSS: We developed this FOE specifically for leg gussets, to be extra soft on tender baby thighs. For diaper cover binding, the 1" plush FOE or the 3/4" semi-plush is the appropriate foldover, not this one.
Wonderful for gussets.

nt wide enough to really use aroud the diaper or to make strong enough leg elastics- but good for pocket elastics or back elastic or extra inner gussetts

Elastic is cut to purchaser's length and is not returnable, except in the case of store error.
